FLORIN PREDA-DOCHINOIU was born on 15th December 1970, in Damian (Sadova village), Dolj county, Romania.
Florin Preda-Dochinoiu’s real name is Florea Preda. The pseudonym used was taken at the age of 13th years when he made his debut in Romanian Literature, the pseudonym being nothing but his paternal great-grandfather’s name.
His graphic works (in coal, pencil, nib, etc.) and paintings are present in museums and private collections from Romania, France, Italy, Austria, Serbia, Brazil, Cuba, United States of America, Moldova and Slovenia.
In 1990 takes place his plastic arts debut in the daily newspaper “Cuvîntul Libertății” with the work “Condition of the creator”.
He contributed and was wrote about his paintings and graphic works in “Ramuri”, “România Literară”, “Literatorul”, “Național”, “Jurnalul Național”, “Ora”, “Portal- MĂIASTRA”, “Timpul”, “Gazeta de Sud, “Viața Capitalei”, “Cuvîntul Libertății”, “Ora” (Craiovei), “Ediție Specială”, “Zig-Zag Magazin”, “Ţara”, “Arca lui Noe”, “Actualitatea”, “Caietele COLUMNA”, “Ad Mutrium”, “Opinia”, “Oglinda Motrului”, “Ardealul literar și artistic”, “Gorjeanul”, “Serile la Brădiceni”, “Cuvântul Liber”, “Civica”, “Meridian”, “Gazeta de Mâine”, “Ceaşca de Cafea”, “Oglinda Gorjului” etc.
Florin Preda-Dochinoiu is a trainee member of the UAP (Romanian Visual Artists’ Union).
